RE: Winter urns..........
I hadn't thought too much about urns... it's a good idea!

What I had considered doing was making a wreath for my front window... since our front door can't been seen from the street, I thought this would be a nice decoration. I need to hit Michaels and buy a form, then I'll get some greenery from a Xmas tree place. I want it to be large!! I'll likely put some lights in it so that it'll sparkle. Cheesy Grin

I've posted a photo of the house (taken before I started [but haven't yet finished!] painting - also, this isn't our new, pretty window) to show you where it'll go and the size that I'm considering.

RE: Winter urns..........
Probably not. I'd love to have something like that on our front porch, but I just don't have the skill to put them together. Plus I have no idea where to get all the stuff that would go into the urn.

Maybe I'll buy a little pre-lit topiary tree to decorate the front porch Icon_smile

Your wreath idea is good, V. There's a house near us that has a HUGE wreath hung on it for a few months in the winter. Looks great -- much more impressive than the wreath-on-the-door that I'll be doing Embarrassed

I got my wreaths.........found fab ones that are square.......Cheesy Grin They're up!

Bought the makings for the urns but it's pouring rain all of a sudden so that'll have to wait until later or tomorrow.........Sad

RE: Winter urns..........
Great wreaths - couldn't find a square one this year so got round as wanted to get done early due to my vacation.

Did my urns couple weeks ago and am afraid rather rushed them a little as it was freezing cold, hailing and windy - will try and dig my camera out of my bags and take a pic.

TT that would look good in your window.

Smoodgie - it is very easy really to do urns - last year I think I mentioned just basic info about how to do it. Remember to buy a wet oasis and stick the greenery in there - the sky is really the limit.

Sweetie - could you try making the wreaths a little longer - perhaps put a cord onto the door wreath holder - they were maybe looking a little short but couldn't really be sure until I could see both ways but the square ones are great.
