Wallpaper for Our Bedroom!!!
DH is sleeping - poor guy is working nights - so I haven't had a chance to show him this BEAUTIFUL wallpaper I found for our bedroom... I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!!!
What will I do if DH doesn't like it Take a look... ![]() And here's a photo of it taken in our bedroom (wanted to see it in the right light) - and it's paired up with the wall colour I would use with it... BM's Herbes de Provence CC-634. ![]() This photo is perfect because it represents the colours as I see them in real life But... here's the part that will really make it a hard sale for DH... it's just shy of $90 a roll... and we'd need 4 rolls for our wall!!! DH is going to s#*t!! Personally I think it's $350 (plus taxes, paste and other necessary install tools Tell me what you think!!! P.S. This paper comes from the Candice Olsen collection Edin Design - Home remodeling is fun! |

RE: Wallpaper for Our Bedroom!!!
I like it
$350 is a lot for wallpaper -- but on the other hand, you're putting a lot of work and time and money into renovating your house, so why not give your bedroom an extra special touch?? You deserve it!! Tell hubby that your HU peeps know where he lives, and we'll come beat him up if he doesn't agree to the wallpaper!!
People that think they know everything seriously annoy those of us that actually do. |

Yes, Smoodgie... it's the first colour you suggested
And, yes... there's a metallic quality to the paper. I love it!! Edin Design - Home remodeling is fun! |

I've been looking for wallpaper for months, and still no luck Uh, yeah, carwash -- seeing as I live a couple thousand miles away and sweetie doesn't do manual labour and teucer has disappeared, you might be on your own there!! RE: Wallpaper for Our Bedroom!!!
The paper and paint are a perfect combo. Congratulations! Paper can run into the hundreds per roll, I think you've made a great choice at a reasonable price.
HA! Thats a pretty far fetched idea, ME washing a car...........Made me laugh out loud ![]()

RE: Wallpaper for Our Bedroom!!!
I had a great day yesterday... it started out with my son and I hitting Timmies for a breakfast sandwich and ended with a treat from DQ. HMMM!
Oh ya... and in between this gastronomical pleasure-fest were trips to the fabric store (where I found this paisley brocade that I love and will use on the duvet and shams I'm going to make - DS was extremely helpful, following me around with the wallpaper sample book open to page 51!), HomeSense (where I had to return some sheets that were the wrong colour green Yes... I ordered the wallpaper. But don't get too excited. Oh man... you're all going to shoot me!! I called BM this morning and cancelled the order! You know... I love that paper and believe it would have looked good in our bedroom... but in the end I didn't love it enough to pay $400 plus the cost of necessary supplies (paste & tools). On our tight reno budget, $450 is a lot of money... in fact, I can think of countless places it could be spent!! Also... I was thinking about the overall design and layout of the room and I've decided that I don't need the paper to make this room look good. It may not be as special, but it'll look good. I promise that DH didn't influence me one bit - I made the decision last evening while he was away at work and told him about it this morning. He said "Are you sure?". What a sweetie he wanted me to have it if I wanted it. But of course he totally agreed that the money could easily be spent on other things. So no wallpaper in Mr. & Mrs. TT's bedroom... But I'll definitley get the paisley brocade and some silk in the perfect green!! I'll share all that in another post Edin Design - Home remodeling is fun! |

RE: Wallpaper for Our Bedroom!!!
i think you made the right decision. That is a lot of money and something that you would probably want to change in a few years anyhow...paint is much easier to change.
