RE: TT's Bedroom Progress Thread
Missed this yesterday, oops!

I like the first handle. I think it pairs well with the chandelier.

Nothing to order... just to pick up.

We'll go and purchase the wardrobes either tonight or tomorrow night and, once the room is painted, slowly (spread out through several evenings 'cause DH is working days starting tomorrow) build and then install them in the bedroom.

I'll likely make a trip to Lee Valley to purchase the handles sometime this weekend.

I like progress Yay!

I like the first handle the best too Blue Thumbs Up

People that think they know everything seriously annoy those of us that actually do.

DH was a little behind on the room... he had planned on having the room ready for me first thing this morning, but because of the rain we've been having the mud was slow to dry... that put him a day behind. So... he sanded for me today Cheesy Grin

Here's a pic of the room ready for me to prime:

But before I got to priming, DH and I made our way to Ikea and purchased our new wardrobes!!! The boxes (man they were heavy!!) are strewn throughout our little house EEK But then, we're used to living in chaos!! Haha

Once we got home it was my turn to get to work and prime the room:

Now I'm all set to paint!
I was going to paint the ceiling this evening but - because DH has to work the next few days AND because he's abandoning me and going away to Kelowna for 3 days (leaving Wednesday morning) Cries - he suggested that we get started on building the wardrobes!

We'll see what we can get done tonight... and I'll post photos tomorrow. AND I'll start painting tomorrow, too. Cheesy Grin

Haha!
I don't think there's ever much to say when you're looking at and reading about unprimed or primed walls Cheesy Grin

Anyway... I'm just "journalling" and sharing my progress. Sometimes just a thumbs up is all that's needed, and I get a lot of that here! Icon_smile Thanks!!

RE: TT's Bedroom Progress Thread
I took a before photo of the wall that will hold our new wardrobes:

Yep... we didn't drywall it. Since the wardrobes will be wall-to-wall and trimed out to look built-in, we didn't see a reason to spend the money on the additional drywall. Of course Mike Holmes wouldn't be very happy with us!! EEK But you can see that, even though this is an interior wall, we attached a vapour barrier to seal the wall. So we're okay with the plan to not drywall.

Anyway... last night about 7pm we started putting together one of the wardrobes. 2.5 hours later (!!) we had one mostly built!! Yikes!!
We still have to secure the wardrobe to the wall, then we'll add some of the shelves and other lovely organizing features!

And then start building the next wardrobe LOL

And here's a photo of the ceiling... painted!! I'm loving it!!
As soon as I post this update I'll start on the walls Cheesy Grin
