Shelf for bathroom
I bought this shelf to hang on the big empty wall in the ensuite. I have a piece of artwork to put on it, maybe a plant.... any other ideas??

RE: Shelf for bathroom
Thats a nice shelf. You could put a plant on there like they did and some nice bath salts, lotions and maybe maybe something dolphin related if its going into that bathroom.

RE: Shelf for bathroom
Okay, well I gotta be honest. I don't see art on that shelf.
I know... you probably want to put art on the shelf...but I do not see it. What about a basic single picture shelf?? Gawd!! I always feel like you cannot be honest on these sites!!! Oh well.. "Less is more" |

RE: Shelf for bathroom
Of course you can be honest here!! Better than saying you like something that you think looks like crap!!! But maybe don't actually say "That looks like crap."
I'll post a pic once I have the shelf up an then you can give me your honest opinion when you actually see the art on it I have a dolphin frame -- maybe that with a water-related picture in it would work. People that think they know everything seriously annoy those of us that actually do. |

RE: Shelf for bathroom
Smoodgie Baby !!! Where did you get that shelf? My wife was looking for a similar one for the bathroom but we are more looking at brushed satin nickel...
P.S. I also don't think you should put art on the shelf ... sorry Thanks ! Matt |

RE: Shelf for bathroom
I'm with the no art vote. I'd keep it simple with the lushest towels you can find and beautiful apothacary jars filled with your fav bath salts on the top shelf.

RE: Shelf for bathroom
Wow, tough crowd!! OK, maybe I'll put the art somewhere else -- but I'm going to see how it looks on the shelf anyway!!
Matt, the shelf is from Canadian Tire. It was $60. It only comes in chrome as far as I know People that think they know everything seriously annoy those of us that actually do. |

RE: Shelf for bathroom
You go girl!! And be sure to post what it looks like with the art on the shelf. Maybe you will start a trend Smoodgie!! Yesterday I was in this beautiful home, looked like it was right out of a magazine...but, what really caught my attention was the fact that they had not always followed the so-called decorating rules.... It was all the unexpected that I really loved.
So.. give it a try!!
