New carpet tiles
I saw these cool carpet tiles on Cityline:
http://www.beaulieucanada.ca/vizani/ Mary Dobson used them in her dining room. She laid them in a monochromatic basketweave pattern. I'm thinking these would be a great option to put in our basement. With 5 pets in the house, there's the occasional.... ummm... accident. If a tile gets stained, you can just pull it up and replace it. People that think they know everything seriously annoy those of us that actually do. |

RE: New carpet tiles
Tres' cool! I think I've seen Peter Fallico use them as well. It really is a good idea if you are caught with an unexpected spill or accident. They don't look el cheapo either....

RE: New carpet tiles
They're apparently the about the same price as regular decent quality wall-to-wall carpeting.
What's really neat about these carpet tiles is that they come in different sizes, so you can make cool patterns (8 in total, I think). I just wonder how skid-proof they are -- they aren't stuck in place like the other kind of carpet tiles. just sort of a felt backing on a velcro-type surface. People that think they know everything seriously annoy those of us that actually do. |

RE: New carpet tiles
I saw that episode & thought it was a pretty cool idea. I really like how you can lay it out in different patterns, but is still pretty subtle overall.
I wonder the same thing about being skid proof - she seemed to lift them up very easily & I also wonder if the stickiness would weaken over time??? It is never too late to be what you might have been. ~George Eliot |
