... the light on one side of the room looks pink and the light on the opposite side of the room looks green?!

I want to repaint the upstairs office before we move the furniture back in. I want to paint the wall that the desk is on a dark gray or brown, and the other walls a lighter version of the dark colour. When I hold paint chips against the desk wall, there's a pink light cast over them from the light reflecting off the red brick house next door. But when I hold paint chips against the wall opposite the desk wall, there's a green cast over them from the light reflecting off the grass and trees in the neighbour's backyard.

I'm looking at dark colours like BM Metropolis, Willow, and Buckhorn for the desk wall.

Close the curtains?
