How dark gray??
How dark should I go with the gray on the walls in the guest bedroom?? It'll be a gray on this chip, just can't decide which one.....

Check out this lamp I found at HomeSense -- the shade is the same gray as the bedding, and the base is circles!!

RE: How dark gray??
Lovin' the lamp!!! Absolutely perfect! Clap

In my opinion the wallpaper is dark and dramatic... if you go for a darker gray on the walls you'll take away from the wallpaper AND likely make the room too cavelike. Rolleyes

So... I think Idea 2 that since you're looking at Behr paint colours you should take your bedding in and use their colour match program. I've found that it works quite well. I think the walls should be a lighter gray then your drapes... the exact (or close approximation) colour of the bedding would look terrific I think! Thumbs Up

Then for your bedskirt you could go for a gray similar to your drapes... and perhaps the same colour/fabric for your headboard.

Just some thoughts for you to ponder... Hammer (that's me shoving my ideas into your head! Cheesy Grin)

RE: How dark gray??
Do you think I should have bought two lamps?? I only have one night table, and the room isn't huge. So I thought one would be fine.

As for the gray... it's SUCH a hard colour to work with!!! Every gray has either a distinct blue or purple or green or brown undertone. How do you find a gray that's just GRAY??? Does anyone make a colour that's called plain old GRAY?? I Don't Know

I have no worthwhile opinion on the paint issue but regarding the lamp, one is fine. The one you bought has great presence. You only have one table and the room isn't huge. You made the right choice. IMHO Cheesy Grin

RE: How dark gray??
Quite possibly -- I already have a half gallon of it!! It's Behr Sparrow, the same colour we used in the master bath. I figured I may as well try it out in the bedroom.

I'll paint the first coat tomorrow and see how it looks. I'm not out any money if it doesn't work out, so no harm in giving it a shot Icon_smile

OK, painted a coat of Sparrow and like it. But picked up this paint chip today at Lowes and think I like it better EEK

Do you prefer the colour on the wall or the colour on the little paint chip????

I also picked up the wallpaper Yay! Hopefully, hubby will hang it tomorrow. That's assuming I'm done painting by then..... Doh
