RE: Guest bedroom in progress
I just ordered these knobs from Lee Valley to put on the night table, bureau, and highboy:

I thought they would up the glam factor a bit Icon_smile

Icon_smile I saw a dark table with crystal knobs at HS this morning. I was SO tempted to buy it for the guest bedroom -- even put it into my shopping cart!! But then I decided it was silly to buy another piece for the room when I already have enough pieces, so why not just modify the pieces I already have by replacing the knobs with crystal?? Icon_smile

I'll pick them up later today Icon_smile

The room is painted and ready for the wallpaper Icon_smile And V, you'll be happy to know that I painted the wallpaper wall purple Blue Thumbs Up I picked up a gallon of mis-tint at Benjamin Moore for 10 bucks. It's not an exact match, but close enough Icon_smile

I'll pick up the wallpaper supplies this afternoon, and then hubby will hopefully hang it tonight Clap

Oh, I still need to paint the baseboard -- I'll do that this afternoon.

I can't wait till it's done!!!!

I'm trying!! The baseboards are painted, just need some touching up here and there. The chandelier is hung. And hubby is about to start wallpapering Yay!

I found a gray bedskirt today that's the right gray -- finally!! I couldn't find one anywhere, and I looked at tons of places. So that's good to go Icon_smile I think all I need to figure out now is what colour fabric to recover the headboard panels with. Or maybe once everything is put together, the brown will work.

Oh, and I need to buy a curtain rod. The panels have pockets that the rod slides into. Would you hang the panels using the pocket or using clips & rings?? And what kind of rod?? I'm thinking brushed metal with plain ball finials. Although I saw one I really liked at Lowes last week. It has a similar look to the lamp base.

WTF??? Hubby just informed me that it's my job to paint the adhesive onto the back of the wallpaper Evil Kick Slap Growl Blue Thumbs Down

*Sigh* After the bedroom and office are done, I don't want to see a roller or paint brush again for a LONG time!!!!!!!

You always say that about paint and brushes....you are your own worst enemy....Cheesy Grin

I like drapery with the rings. a plain rod with simple finial balls is the best choice IMHO.
