I'm sorry Smoodgie, I'm thinking no Sad
So I take it you like the silver circle paper for the dining room?
You were really taken with the flowers in the photo that Sweetie posted... maybe you could go for that pattern in the bedroom? Both of the papers has the perfect purple...
What do you think?

I have to admit that I was a little worried about the brown with this colour combination. Yes, I feel a gray bedskirt would be a good idea, especially if you could find one that matched the drapes - you know, pull that colour to the bed AND ground the space with a darker gray skirt.

As for the headboard - a brown wood headboard would be totally fine... I believe the problem with your headboard is with the padded section. Are they removable? Could you cover over the micro-suede with a complimentary purple or gray (again, like the drapes) fabric?

I'm sorry, Smoodgie!! Rolleyes

Metallic-coloured mirror from HomeSense. 60 bucks.

I like the flowered wallpaper, but I LOVE the cirlce wallpaper!!

I think it would be relatively easy to remove the the panels from the headboard and re-cover them. Any fabric/colour suggestions?? Maybe a light gray microfibre??

Go for the circle wallpaper, then Cheesy Grin

I think your mirror find is perfect for the room Thumbs Up

For the headboard, I'd suggest the same colour/fabric you choose for the bedskirt. I like the idea of making them relate AND relate to the other darker gray in the room, your drapes.

Then the walls would be a lighter gray like the bedding Icon_smile

Thanks V Icon_smile I don't know how I spotted this mirror -- it was in the middle of a box with about 12 other mirrors that all had dark frames.

I bought it on Monday, but had to go back with the pick-up yesterday to get it -- it was too tall to fit in my smartie EEK

Yep, the purple circle wallpaper is getting my vote Blue Thumbs Up I want to order it soon.... but first I need to make another wallpaper decision..... Lone Ranger

Hubby made a face when I told him I want to re-upholster the headboard. I don't think it's a major job, though -- should just require removing some screws.

Oh, I can raise the headboard so it's higher on the wall -- good idea?? Might give the bed a bit more presence, and the cushions won't hide as much of the panels.

I saw some nice silky silver cushions at HS last night -- think silky silver would look better than the silvery gray rectangular cushion that matches the comforter??

RE: Guest bedroom in progress
I just ordered the purple circle wallpaper for the bedroom Icon_smile

We'll see how the installation goes -- if it's a major PITA, I'll have to re-think the plan for wallpaper in the dining room EEK

Hubby keeps saying it's easy to do. Soooooo..... he can do it!!!! Razz

I'm planning to paint the bedroom this weekend. Hopefully the paper will arrive sometime next week and then we can put it up the following weekend. And then I just need a gray bedskirt and a curtain rod, and the bedroom will be done!!

Speaking of painting... paint the wall you're hanging the paper on, too. It helps hide the seams, especially if one opens a little. Paint the wall the same colour as the background of the paper.

Funny about your DH... my DH made it clear that hanging paper would be my job! Razz

Would it be better to paint the whole room the same colour as the wallpaper instead of gray?? I can't remember where I read it or heard it -- might have been Sarah R -- that you should paint the other walls a similar colour to the wallpaper wall so it all sort of blends together.

... hmmm... I don't know, Smoo... that's an awful lot of purple Surpriseh:
I really liked the idea of a soft gray, with the curtains darker.
The soft gray works with the circles Exactly
