Need help with finishing touches

Need help with finishing touches
I started to decorate my basement last year - and here is the entrance. This year I wanted to finish major part there - home theatre. So I painted walls, installed ceiling tiles, got a modern clock as an accent, 2 red chairs (something has to be red here ;P). Now I desperately need some more accessories - but what should it be? Some huge black candle holders under the clock? Floor lamp near the womb chairs? What style? Low rise storage behind the chairs? Oh, yes, as an 'art' I was thinking of this poster with Audrey Hepburn..
What do you think?
If you have some inspirational pics - would be great!

P.S. My DH says we don't need accessories, but then again he didn't want to paint (it was plain beige before) or rearrange anything.
P.S.2 window will be covered so ignore it for now.
... here is home theatre part:

RE: Need help with finishing touches
I think a bar area would be nice, about the same height and depth as the storage in the entrance, then you can put glasses, candles etc. on that; and of course, you will now need a table for your drinks; maybe a bookshelf with books, magazines and (tasteful and arranged) knick knacks. Plants somewhere might be nice, but if there is no light, that could be difficult!

I guess it all depends on what you use the area for - can you give us any hints?

Do you have a photo of the overall space. I am not getting the placement of the red chairs. I love them but personally I would be jumping into the chairs in front to watch a movie. The entry looks great. I have to agree with your husband though, I like less "items" in a home theatre space. I do love the idea of perhaps a couple of framed oversize movie posters. I framed some large movie posters, 3 ft by 2 ft and they look great and provide a nice impact in the space without a lot of little items that seem distracting.

I think you just need some sparkle ie. a chrome and glass table between the 2 red chairs maybe a retro light fixture in that area as well.
Overall I think you did an amazing job...WELL DONE!

netmiff: I have already a bar area (not shown here).

lessismore: this is a long room - left part is movie theatre (there are only 3 recliners, they are visible on the pics) and on the right there are 2 red chairs. Those last chairs can serve double duty - as a lounge area or provide additional seating for movies if needed.
Where did you get your posters? I looked at art.com, but maybe there are canadian sources here?

Inglewood: you repeat my DH idea about table between chairs, but maybe this is what is needed?
What do you think about this light fixture?

I think you gave me some good ideas. Thank you very much!
Several posters on that dark wall with red chais, glass table, floor lamp - may work...
Any other suggestions?

Okay, looking over the images I get a better sense of the layout. I think the addition of a table between those two red chairs will look great and be practical at the same time. That lamp will look fantastic in your space. Where would you put it though?
I actually got my posters through a sale that took place at the university. Every fall they have a group that comes and sells these over-sized posters for about $10. Real deal. I bought some frames from Ikea and I have two of them on a wall that is probably the same size as yours. They really work beautifully in the space while maintaining a "clean" feel to the room. Personally I find you need very little in a media room since you are probably only watching TV/movies in that space, right?
Anyway, you already have a gorgeous space!

I am thinking to put this lamp in one of the corners behind the red chair.
Was looking on the internet for the posters - lots of them! I'll change it instead of Audrey Hepburn to something more modern. 2 posters should be enough.
Today got flyers - Michaels has 40% off on poster frames - isn't it great? Don't have any idea though what is the original price... I'll check it out this weekend... Smile

lessismore, do you want to post your pic with posters?

Sure. I am on the road right now for work but when I get back on the weekend I will post the pics.
My basement looks nothing like yours but it will give you an idea.

Well this hopefully gives you an idea. I included a few shots of the whole space except the TV wall.
I have not finished my own room so I am curious to see your completed space. I get started and then something else comes up and I am distracted again. We finally got pot lights in which make a huge difference in the basement. I am still trying to add subtle hits of colour to my very black and white scheme. Of course I need to finish painting the ceiling first! Smile
So, two large posters....looks like this:

Thank you lessismore for posting your pics.
Keep going with your designing of the basement.
