Well, even though Mr. Smoodgie made lots of sad faces, he pulled out his credit card at HS and I got the purple chair Icon_smile I seriously CANNOT SHOP ANYMORE!!! Bug Eyes

I'm diggin' it even more with this cushion:

I like the chair but I wouldn't add any nailhead trim to it. The chair looks very comfortable Icon_smile

RE: Creating an inspiring home office
It IS very comfortable Icon_smile

sweetie pointed out that the chair and painting look black in the pics -- here's a pic without the flash to give you a better idea of the true colours:

When hubby cleaned out the bedroom closet last night, he pulled out two long Lack shelves that I bought at Ikea a few years ago. Do you think they would be better over the storage unit than the mirror?? I like having the mirror on the wall, because it reflects light and gives the feeling that room is bigger than it is (it's only 9' x 11'). But shelves would be much more functional....

If the mirror stays, it needs to be lowered a bit.

Smoodgie, I love your new chair! I'm glad you posted another pic that shows the colour - it's a wonderful deep purple!!

Is this the only wall for the mirror? It looks like it's across from the window - and of course you always want your mirror reflecting something nice (like the little bit of scenary and light out/from your window). Then again, shelves in the spot above the cabinet would be perfect... hmmm.... tough decision!

I vote for the mirror!
It looks so lovely over the cabinet... and in a basement room, the reflection of light is important.

Hopefully you can find another wall for the shelves!

Thanks for the new photo. It looks great and works perfectly with the painting.

I vote for the mirror. I don't think more storage in that spot will work. If you imagine the credenza already full and then 2 more shelves on top.....yikes, that's storage overload........EEK The room will balance better with the storage materials spread apart. Again IMHO Cheesy Grin

Oooh, that's cool!! Where did you find it?!

Please tell me it isn't $200/roll!!

I really want to use my letter design in the office, but wallpaper would be so much easier.....

I think the letters on the wallpaper are a bit too small Sad What do you think??
