Creating an inspiring home office

RE: Creating an inspiring home office
Awww, hugs for you, V Huddle

I really like to incorporate pieces that my mom made or enjoyed into my rooms. Like the crystal pieces that sweetie pulled out and put on display in the living room Icon_smile I hadn't thought to put them in there, but she did and they're perfect in the room Icon_smile

BTW, I've decided to go with a more monochromtic colour scheme in the room -- gray, black, white, and silver. With some dark brown accents like the storage unit and the bookends and the base for the desk.

I really need opinions on which lamp is better -- if the smaller lamp goes, I'll return it tonight when I pick up the chair and put the credit towards the chair.

Pretend I'm needy and hurry up!!!! Wink

Really?! I was sure you'd prefer the damask lamp, seeing as you want me to get a black & white damask chair!!

Well that was easy enough Icon_smile

I said no to the damask chair at HS 'cause it's too big. And yes, I have a white leather chair on hold Icon_smile I'll be picking it up tonight, so check for pics later and let me know what you think Icon_smile

Hubby thinks white is a bad idea for a chair and I should go with black. But I really like the look of the white leather, and I think it'll look better in the room than black -- lighter and airier, which is important for a small space, yes??

I like the idea of both chairs and both lamps. They represent two different styles to me though.

If the damask chair is too big, then lose the lamp.

The leather chair, whether black or white, works with the accessories that you posted this morning. I also like this look with the 'painting'......

Again, IMHO

How is it that you can go to HS and find just what you need and want... something specific like an office chair of all things?! It never works like that for me!! I Don't Know When you said you found a chair, I imagine a chair... not a rolly office chair! Yay!

Personally, I think it's terrific!! Clap

BTW... how will it work with the rug? Will you get one of those mats?

Oh, trust me, I don't always find exactly what I'm looking for at HS!! I just got lucky this time Icon_smile

One HS location here has a bunch of these chairs and another similar style in brown, black, red, green, and white leather. I put the black one on hold, and then as I was walking towards the front of the store, I spotted this white one tucked under a white desk, and thought it would work better in the office than the black one.

They must have just got these chairs in, because they were all clean and unmolested Icon_smile

As for the carpet -- don't worry, I'll find a way to make it work with the rolly feet on the chair!!
