RE: Creating an inspiring home office
Thanks Doctor Q - and sorry for hijacking your thread with this Smoodgie!
Doc = does a consecutive post like these register as "new" for someone signing on? If it does, then I say leave it. We can all get used to recognizing what the hard lines mean and I like the idea of saving screen space... I just don't want anyone's messages getting missed because they're part of what someone might percieve as an already-read post. Does that make sense?

Okay Smoodgie - back to your graphic!!
It would be great if it could be printed on paper for you - but I wonder how expensive? Something to explore???

OK, I've decided to go with a sans serif font. I think it'll make my life easier -- I can use rulers to draw a lot of the lines and tape to tape off a lot of the letters for painting. Also, it has a modern, cleaner look, which is what I'm going for.

I moved some letters around and made a few other changes. Does it look OK?? Any parts look too crowded or empty??

I want to try to get the letters traced onto the wall this weekend, so the sooner I settle on the design, the better!! Icon_smile

I have a special attachments to the letter K Cheesy Grin

About the middle of the K is where the letters are going to wrap around the corner.

Your "B" - another special letter - is kinda lost and sideways.
And your "V" - the most special of all - is squished up with the darn "Y"!

Just Teasing... it's all GREAT!!!!!

Couldn't work on it this weekend, I was at the cottage. It'll probably be a couple more weeks till I get around to it. Assuming I don't come up with a better plan.....

Anyway, for the time being, you'll have to make due with pics of some accessories Icon_smile I found this lamp at HomeSense tonight -- what do you think, better than the smaller one I posted earlier??

I remembered that I have these pieces that I think will work. I have 9 of the mirrored birds. The flowers is metal. The clock is crystal.

And I think my mirrored stars might finally have a home in the office Icon_smile

I picked this up at HS tonight -- 10 bucks. The white part is frosted mirror and the rest of it is plain mirror (hard to tell in the pic. And oops, should have Windexed it first!!)

And finally, a set of bookends that I think work well with the letter theme in the room Icon_smile My mom made them ages ago and my dad recently found them at the cottage.

Everything is really great, Smoodgie!!
I particularly like the letters your Mom made... not only are they lovely and perfect for your room, they remind me of my Mom. Today is my Mom's birthday - she would have been 65 - and she LOVED anything to do with art and letters and paper and books. Yep... my Mom would have loved your Mom's bookends!! Cheesy Grin
