Cinnamon buns!!! Razz But I spent too much at Ikea last night, I can't afford a plane ticket Sad

So here are the colours I'm planning to use in the office (all Sico):

6173-21 Tin (eggshell on all the walls)
6173-11 Iron Salts (matte letters on the wall)
6173-31 Powdered Iron (semi-gloss letters on the wall)

I realized last night that I can use the little filing cabinet that's in the office now in my new office, seeing as the only stuff in it is mine. I might paint it a darker gray from this chip -- maybe 6173-63 Nail Head.

And, I already have something to hold paper in, so I'll probably bring back the snakeskin-look one that I got at Chapters.

I think I'm going to buy a chrome chandelier like the one we put up in the guest bedroom, but a smaller version.

Just had a revelation -- what if I do the lightest letters on the wall in a semi-gloss finish instead of matte, and then I can use the same colour on the trim instead of white.

Yes??

What colors are they for those of us without SICO books? Grays?

Yes, grays. The colours on the colour chip that you and donna picked a few posts back (the one on the right):

I decided to go to the lighter end of the card. It's a basement room and there's only one small window, so I don't want it to feel too dark and closed in. Also, I picked up the colour chip for the colours used in my inspiration room for the wall letters, and the colours she used are in the same tones.

I might start painting today....

I like it and it fits.
Since this space is a practical one, I think you need to be sure that you are actually going to read down there. Have you picked your desk chair yet? I really think you need to do that first..........

No, haven't picked one yet. I know what one I want -- but it's not cheap. Boooo!!! The Herman Miller Aeron Chair:

It's the most comfortable office chair EVER. I thought I was being bad when I took home my desk lamp when I left Nortel -- a guy I know took his Herman Miller with him!!! Why didn't I think of that?! Doh Lone Ranger

As for that rocker -- it's from EQ3. I seem to recall reading an article about it winning a design award a little while ago. Maybe I'll pop over to EQ3 now and take a look.....
