Our cute, sweet, oh-so-loveable Carbo died today Cries

Hubby found him under the patio after work, looking weak and in bad shape. We rushed him to the vet -- there were 5 or 6 doctors and technicians working on him. They got his heart to start beating again, but he was on a breathing machine and we decided the best thing for him was to put him to sleep. In one way it was a hard decision to make, but in another way we knew it was the best thing for him. He had a great weekend at the cottage -- he was happy and active, slept with us on the futon the two nights he was there, and was with people who love him.

And today, he decided that it was time to go.

I miss him like crazy Cries

He'd usually be up on the sofa with hubby and me right now, resting his head on one of our laps. It's just not the same without him Cries

Thanks, ladies. It's been a tough 24 hours. I can go from being totally OK one second to bawling the next second.

It just feels so wrong that he isn't here. Even though we still have Squirt and Kylie, there's this huge empty gap where Carbo should be.

donna, Carbo definitely was a totally loving pooch. He just loved everyone. He was the kindest dog ever. And he had the absolute best doggie ears Icon_smile

I hope you enjoyed meeting him. I know sweetie has a special place in her heart for him since she met him last winter.

Carbo's remains are ready to be picked up. We're going to bury him behind the backyard fence, where we buried Smokey a few months ago Sad

I want him to be close to us, even though he's gone.

I going to miss my Simon enormously when he passes away - so I believe I can relate, at least in part, to how you're feeling. Cries
